APREN supports North Africa Renewable Energy Summit
As the suitable location for Solar PV and CSP growing and the high potential for wind energy, the North Africa Region is accelerating the development of Renewable Energy, in order to meet the increasing energy demand while fighting climate change. With GOV’s great support and so many ongoing & upcoming renewables projects, this is best time for you enter this market.
Taking place in Casablanca, Morocco during June 24-25, 2019, The 2nd North Africa Renewable Energy Summit will pave a knowledge-sharing platform for you to network with Developers, EPCs, Financers, Suppliers, etc. Focusing on Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria, We’re not only present you the updates and forecasts of North Africa’s Renewables Development during this Two-Day-Summit, but also arrange an extra Post-Conference Site Tour which hosted by Masen (Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy).
As one of the early adopters of renewable energy in North Africa, Morocco will look to deploy about 1.5 GW of solar and wind capacity to target 42% renewables by 2020, and rising to 52% by 2030, with the development around 500-700MW toward solar and the same for wind.
In May 2018, Tunisia issued two renewable energy tenders totaling 1GW, including a tender for 500MW of solar PV and 500MW of onshore wind.
In the early of 2018, Algeria has announced that up to 170MW of wind and solar power will be tendered in the near future. In November, the Algerian Minister of Energy, Mustapha Guitouni said Algeria aims to produce 22,000 MW of electricity from renewable sources by 2030. The 1st phase involves 400 MW of solar energy.
Meet with the decision makers in this region to know the projects planning, updates and catch the business opportunities at the first time in the 2nd North Africa Renewable Energy Summit 2019, an event supported by APREN.
