According to Eurostat data, in the third quarter of 2025, 49.3% of the electricity generated in the European Union came from renewable energy sources, an increase of 3.8% compared to the 47.5% recorded in the same quarter of 2024.
In the first quarter of 2026, the Electrification Plan will be launched, focusing on heating and cooling, as a measure to accelerate the replacement of fossil fuel-based thermal systems with electric solutions, increasing the energy efficiency of buildings.
