The Portuguese Power System has undergone a paradigm shift due to the integration of new sources of supply in the last two decades. Since 2015 the renewable power capacity installed in Portugal had a stable increase, with a yearly average growth rate of 7 %. By its turn, since 2011 the fossil power capacity has been declining.
