European directive requires the application of minimum energy performance requirements and the installation of solar panels in all new buildings and those subject to major renovations.

The directive in question was approved in October 2023 and requires renewable energy projects up to 100 kilowatt-peak (kWp) of installed capacity to have their permits completed in less than a month.
