Until the end of November the electricity in the Iberian electricity gross market had an average price of 51.74€/MWh, well above the value of the same period of the previous year, 37.48€/MWh.

January 2018
In January of 2018, renewable energy accounted for 47.7% of the total electricity produced in Mainland Portugal. The technology that generated more electricity was wind (27.6%), overcoming natural gas and coal power plants.
February 2018
Until the end of February, the electricity generated by renewable power plants was equivalent to nearly half of the electricity produced in Mainland Portugal. 
March 2018
The first quarter of 2018 was marked by the renewable record in March in which, for the first time, renewable electricity production surpassed the demand of Mainland Portugal.
April 2018
In the first four months of 2018, renewable energy sources (RES) generated 13,067 GWh, which accounted for 66.6% of the total electricity produced in Mainland Portugal, 19,607 GWh. 
May 2018
Between January and May of 2018, renewable energy sources accounted for 64.2% of the electricity production in Mainland Portugal.
June 2018
Renewable energy accounted for 61% of the total electricity production in Mainland Portugal, due to the greater availability of hydro and wind resources. 
July 2018
Since the beginning of the year renewable energy sources accounted for 58 % of overall electricity production in Mainland Portugal. 
August 2018
In cumulative terms, since the beginning of the year, renewable energies accounted for 55% of the total electricity production in mainland Portugal.
