Ana Cristina Carrola holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, specializing in Processes and Industry, and a Postgraduate degree in Water Quality and Pollution Control from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra.
She has been developing and monitoring environmental issues since 1994, when she began her public service career at the Water Institute.
At APA, she is responsible for the technical areas of Waste, Environmental Licensing, the Environmental Reference Laboratory and its regional network, and the circular economy.
