“Electricity Market Workshop - Europe, Iberia & Portugal”

the Portuguese Renewable Energy Association – will be holding a workshop dedicated to the topic Electricity Market – Europe, Iberia & Portugal* .

This training session will take place on February 27th and 28th in Lisbon , in a fully in-person format .

The workshop aims to provide a practical understanding of how electricity markets work, and is intended for those who are broadly familiar with electricity markets but not with their detailed workings.

It will be taught in English by instructors associated with the Florence School of Regulation and FTI Consulting .

PROGRAM

The program includes five modules , divided over the two days of training:

  • February 27th (2:00 PM – 6:30 PM)
    • M1: Basics of electricity markets
    • M2: Sequence of short-term electricity markets
    • M3: The interaction between electricity markets and grids

  • February 28 (9:30 AM – 1:00 PM)
    • M4: Zoom into Iberian Electricity market
    • M5: Long-run trends in electricity markets with more renewables

The training is paid , with APREN members having access to a special price*.

*TERMS

  • The course price is €550 for APREN members and €750 for the general public
  • The course is taught in English; no translation is available
  • The course is entirely in-person; it is not possible to attend the course remotely, either fully or partially
  • Enrollment in the course is limited to the available places (30). Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served
  • Only 2 representatives per company can register
  • Course registration is only complete after payment has been received; it is not possible to reserve places
  • The billing information provided will be used for issuing the final documents
  • No pro forma invoices will be issued
  • The training session will be covered by photographs and videos
